**Description:**


This very important role requires a highly motivated and results oriented Item Repair Senior Commodity Sourcing Analyst to work with a team leading the identification of new item repair sources and the execution of the identified sourcing strategies. In the appropriate situations, support best value long term agreements (LTA's) bridging current F100 and F119 item component repair requirements and future F135 requirements is the desired outcome.

The candidate will be responsible for leading all aspects of sourcing repair and repair-related services working closely with the Item Repair Integration and Forecasting Managers to effectively understand both suppliers' current performance and to provide strategic assessments of future success based on available data.

A minimum of five (5) years of experience in engineering, operations, or aftermarket supply chain management is required. Candidates must have a proven record of working with the ACE tools or similar Total Quality Management tools and metrics, including an understanding of key performance indicators (KPI's). The creation of standard work and PMI's for sourcing activities for domestic and international repair sources will be an additional responsibility of this position

The ideal candidate will have experience working with aftermarket suppliers, an understanding of military engines maintenance repair overhaul & upgrade (MRO&U), and can articulate the competitive bidding, bid evaluation and source selection processes. Previous experience with military based contract development & execution and working with USG regulations will be an important consideration.

**Basic Qualifications:**

5+ years of experience in the following:

Engineering or manufacturing or Supply Chain

Working with suppliers -- tier one or tier two


**Preferred Qualifications:**


Familiarity with F119/F135 engine hardware & manufacturing processes

Understanding of Global Services Engineering repair development processes

SAP experience with specific focus on purchasing-related document flow.

Master's Degree in Engineering and/or Supply Chain Management

Total quality management type tools such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing

A good team player

The ability to communicate effectively

Propulsion maintenance military experience a plus

Some travel involved visiting suppliers


**Education:**


Degree in Engineering and/or Supply Chain Management required.
