**Target Openings:**


**Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:**

+ Establish and communicate the annual calendars for Iterations and Program Increments (PIs)

+ Facilitate PI Planning readiness by fostering the preparation of Vision and Backlogs, and through Pre- and Post-PI Planning meetings

+ Facilitate the PI planning event

+ Summarize Team PI Objectives into Program PI Objectives (the RTE) and publish them for visibility and transparency

+ Assist tracking the execution of features and capabilities (see Metrics)

+ Help manage risks and dependencies

+ Escalate and track impediments

+ Provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks

+ Encourage collaboration between teams and System and Solution Architects/Engineering

+ Facilitate System Demos and Solution Demos

+ Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets

+ Manages team development; very active in the mentoring of members of the PM community; may have direct management responsibility of PMs.

+ Develops both IT and Non-IT Project budgets. Manages against them.

The Release Train Engineer is accountable for leading the Agile Release Train through each release and championing the SAFe/Agile methodologies. The Release Train Engineer is a servant leader who facilitates program-level execution, impediment removal, risk and dependency management, and continuous improvement

**Position Type:**


**Preferred Qualifications:**

**Education, Work Experience & Knowledge:**

+ Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

+ 7 years of project management experience preferred.

+ 2 years of experience managing others and/or project teams preferred.

+ 5+ years of application development experience. Experience in multiple roles preferred.

+ Experience driving delivery within an Agile development methodology (SAFe, etc)

+ Ability to foster and support team-building

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills

+ Effective collaboration across teams to attain organizational goals.

+ Ability to partner with geographically dispersed resources (employee and Globally Sourced Partners).

+ Servant leadership, problem solving and communication skills.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

High School diploma or equivalent required. 5 years of project management experience required.
